Holiday Project!

Over the Christmas break, I told myself that I should start AND FINISH a holiday project.. as part of my resolution to "get things done" ;-) And sure enough, I was able to finish... on the last night of my holiday break! Right before work started the next day! Haha! :) It was a close call but I was so pleased that I finished it! (since most of my family members, specifically my brothers, thought for sure that I wouldn't finish it at all) HA! :)

So what was my holiday project? :) One of my frustrations in life is to be able to draw and paint well... I even took art classes during one of my childhood summers because I really wanted to learn! But for some reason, it just wasn't working for me... As I was growing up, time and time again, I would give drawing and painting a shot but it just didn't turn out the way I envisioned it in my head... Putting that desire on hold, I pursued other things I was better at... "Focusing on my strengths" as John Maxwell said...

Then on one "Christmas-shopping, bazaar-hopping" day, I came across a booth that brought back one of my childhood joys... PAINT BY NUMBERS!!! Oh joy!!! This was it!!! I decided to give my dream to be a "painter" one more shot! And so now, let me introduce you to my Holiday Project...

Paint by Numbers by "The Color Shop" comes with  a small photo of the final  product,
a number code for the painting, paintbrushes...

And of course... paint! :)

Here's what helped me decide which painting to choose: 

Habakkuk 2:2-3 says:

I chose the Eiffel Tower because the 4 days I spent in Paris during my teens was soooooo memorable that I would love to share that experience again with my husband :) The painting of the Eiffel Tower in our living room now serves as a constant reminder of what my husband and I are believing for and we are sure that one day, it will come to pass! :) Remember to always keep the vision before you... and if you can write it, why not paint it?! :)

MFT Week 3 Winner!

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER!!! (sheepish grin)

First of all, I would like to apologize to all of you for the delay in revealing the winner for My Favorite Things Week 3, and also for not being able to post MFT Weeks 4 - 6! I checked my blog and just found out that the last time I posted was on November 28!!! SO SO SORRY!!! :(


DECEMBER was such a cccrraaazzzyyyy month! My laptop crashed, I started going back to work, Bianco got sick, Christmas parties and events left and right, etc, etc, etc!!! So, my resolution for 2012 is to start things slow and steady... I will get things done slowly but surely ;-) 


Tonight, I shall reveal the winner of MFT Week 3! I've been so excited to reveal this to you because I love the story behind it! But first, here they are...

Ready for some inside info? :) Ryan's best friend was the creative consultant for the film One More Chance and some of the scenes incorporated in the movie were actually based on bits and pieces of Ryan's past relationships! Ryan = John Lloyd?? ;-) Hahaha! :) Of course, in Ryan's own poster, he changed the name to One PERFECT Chance since he already found his PERFECT bride! ;-) FYI, this poster was displayed on their wedding day ;-)

My Favorite Things (3 of 6): Movie Magic

After almost one looooooooong year, my husband and I were finally able to watch a movie again!!! Can you guess what movie it was??? Two words: B------- D--- :) It shouldn't be too hard to guess since it's like the only movie showing now! Hahaha! :)

This may not be a big deal for most of you, but watching movies was something we looked forward to doing almost every weekend... But when I got pregnant, we had to put it off since my pregnancy was a bit delicate and I had to stay in bed most of the time. 

But FINALLY, last weekend, we were able to see a movie again!!! YEY!!! :)

We had 2 observations from that day: First of all, we were surprised at how much it costs to see a movie now! Haha! And secondly, we couldn't enjoy our usual pre-movie game (which is guessing the movie titles of the trailers shown) since we have no idea what movies are coming out now! The score was at an all-time low of 1-0! (and I only guessed that one movie coz I saw the trailer online the day before! haha!)

Nevertheless, we were still thankful that we were able to spend time together as a couple and enjoy our little date :) Ok.. Enough about that! On to this week's give away! :)

MFT Week 2 Winner!

This has been such a great week! So many surprises! God is soooo good! :) 

One of the surprises was the tweet I got from Bon Chon Philippines about this blog! Thank you BonChonPH, you made my night! I was still so happy about it the next day.. Haha! :) PLUS, I was also informed that Bon Chon ATC (Alabang Town Center) is now under construction! :) WOOOHOOO! :) Early Christmas present from Bon Chon! :)

So here's their story: After a long day at work, they decided to go to Star City and have fun! They bought these chicken hats and Rhea was even able to convince Mike to pose for this picture, which he rarely does apparently :) SIDE NOTE: For you couples out there, its so important that you still get to do fun and silly things with your partner :) It keeps your relationship alive and fresh! :) Thank you Rhea, for sharing your story with us :) May this bring inspiration to the readers, like it gave me inspiration :)

My Favorite Things (2 of 6): Let's Bon Chon!!!

So for this week, I decided to give away one thing we all cannot live without... FOOD! Hahaha :) And my ABSOLUTE ABSOLUTE ABSOLUTE FAVORITE is BON CHON CHICKEN!!! :)

If you follow me on Twitter, you all know how much i LOVE Bon Chon! :) I've even decided to give my son the nickname "Bon Chon"! Hahaha! :) I think this started when I was still pregnant.. Definitely one of my cravings that stayed with me even after giving birth. 

The day I was first introduced to Bon Chon, I had it twice! Haha! :) My husband and I went to Greenbelt 1 for lunch before a photo shoot we had for MASH and immediately after the shoot, we went to Bon Chon at Ayala Triangle for Round 2!!! :) It was soooo good that shortly after we convinced our friends to head out to Makati to try it out... And believe me, you need a lot of convincing power to get people from the South to head out to Makati on a Saturday night! But it was so worth it! :)

My Favorite Things (1 of 6): Light as a Feather

There's no doubt about it... Christmas is my favorite time of the year! And since Christmas is the season for giving, I've decided to give away some of my favorite things! :) There are 6 weeks left before Christmas and I will be giving away one of my favorite things every week.
